About Me

Solo musician, I started playing when I was 12. I had a couple of uncles who got me started. But most everything that I've learned has been by ear. I played in a high school rock band. Since then it's been off and on and played with a couple of other bands whose ego's were much larger than their talent, so for now I've decided to do a solo thing. I've most recently, within the last three years started to play open mic's. It has helped me get past the stage fright, and polish up my playing skills. All this playing has ignited a passion for writing songs which I had slacked off on. I have written about twenty five songs in the last two years, with about six more in progress. I am trying to see, just where they fit in this musical world.

Influences: The musician that ignited my desire to learn to play the guitar was Johnny Cash and the musicians that fueled that desire were Jimmy Hendix, Cream, The Beatles, Johnny Winters, Jimmy Buffet, Leon Russell, Sabicas (flamenco guitarist), Melissa Etheridge, Susan Tedeschi, Janis Joplin,Shelby Lynn, Jonatha Brooke, Tracy Chapman, Lucinda Williams, Heart, Neil Young,CSN. Currently I like Hinder, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Killers, Maroon 5, Neil Finn, Evanescence, Blue October, K.T. Tunstall, SRV and many others.
Sounds Like: Many of my songs are Blues-ish. It seems like almost every day I get an idea for a song, or a chord progression is presented to me like a gift, what a great feeling it is to be involved with music.
Record Label: I'd like to have my own. Any suggestions on how?
