Buried at PhotoCasket.com And one of my goals is to learn my traditional language....I am currently studying it and doing my best to learn everyday, its gonna take some time but it needs to be done. I am doing what i need to be a fluent speaker and become certified to teach it in the school system and by using various other methods of teaching.I believe in the strength of our people and in our traditional ways and teachings.I like to go to different gatherings. I am pretty proud of who I am and where I come from, and yah, i guess thats bout it....I also like spendin a lot of time with my grandparents because i learn so much from them and they have really shaped me into the person that i am today.
Buried at PhotoCasket.comI believe there is a time and a place for everything and in being an honest person and i am at a point in my life where i no longer wanna be such a push over..i have my own views now. I don't like to act like I know anything, but the little things that I do feel knowledgeable about I like to talk about. But I am forever learning, listening to different conversation fascinates me. I am the kind of friend that people usually turn to because of my listening skills, I can listen for hours without a peep. I like to take time to think before I speak, which some people don't have much patience for, but whadda ya gonna do lol. Its a bit odd that i relate most to older generation people, don't have much to talk about with people of my generation. Get a long well with elders or children. I feel like a native version of Briget Jones at times when it does come to socializing with people my own age, kinda stumble around and attempt to be cool..but it never really works lol....so yah..i ain't on here to cyber or hook up through the keyboard..i'm jus a girl sharing her space wit da world...whoever likes it..cool..whoever don't, thats cool too..whatever itz all gravy.

I really like art, it is relaxing and helps balance me and allows me to tap into that other side of myself.Lose myself in it sometimes, but i luv it. This poem is something that I like and think is really relative to life...well mine anyhow

It ranges from Rap,Hiphop, R&B, old style country, some of those blues style singers, then it goes to handdrum songs, and those good ol' powwow tunes. But as far as dancin goes, whether its powwows or at the club anythin with a good beat will get me out there. Anything that make me wanna dance all funky.

Heroes:

Need I say....But on a serious note: My mother and my grandparents have been real heroes to me and my uncles and aunties and positive rolemodels in my community and all of those other natives across indian country who are protecting what they hold sacred and who are proud to be native and keeping their traditional ways alive..I take my hats off to the ones who kept their strength and their teachings even through the odds like residential school and the indian act. The ones who were never ashamed and never turned their backs. To those i find my heroes. They inspire me to keep my head up and keep on surviving and stay true to myself.
