I'm all about Kung-Fu, My Family, Comics, Tech and Movies. More to come...
In early 2005, I decided I was going to meet my idol, the great Hong Kong director and Kung-Fu legeng, Lau Kar-Leung . After a few months of work, I finally met his student and nephew. I soon found myself in Hong Kong meeting my 'Kung-Fu Hero' for lunch at his favorite hotel resturant. We spoke for hours he told me how he has an idea to make his last movie. With a low budget, compared to American movies, I thought it was a small amount to raise. He asked if I would talk to people in the states as see if I could find anyone interested in the project. I returned home and immediatly hatched a plan to produce his new film "Heroes of Shaolin." With in no time, we found a Distributor and a group of Investors who all wanted to do the project.
Travelling back to Hong Kong a few months later, I got the chance to spend a few days with Master Lau and watched him demonstrate and 'do his thing.' It was a great honor to meet Master Lau and to spend so much quality time with him. Working on this movie with him is a dream come true for me.
Since then, I've had several meeting/dinner with Master Lau and his brother, Ga-Wing and Ga-Fei (a.k.a. Gordon Liu/The Master Killer)
I'm a huge fan of 'old school' Kung-Fu movies, mostly Shaw Bros. from the late 70's and 80's.
Here is my 'Top 10' list of my favorite Kung-Fu Movies. In no particular order, mind you.

I only watch 3 channels; HBO, Cartoon Network and VH1 (for the reality shows of course!) I watch some other stuff, but if you were to spy my TiVo, these channels would occupy 90%.HBO: Sopranos, Deadwood, Entourage, Carnival and Curb Your Enthusiasm pretty much top the list.
Cartoon Network: Boondocks - it's one of the funniest F*cking shows on TV, The Venture Bros - A throwback to the old Johnny Quest Cartoons, Morel Orel - Sticking it to Christian Fundamentalists and good old Seth Green's Robot Chicken - Who knew my action figures and toys from the 70's could be so funny?!?
VH1: Surreal Life, Flavor of Love - It's a train wreck and I can't look away, My Fair Brady, and a few more.

Superheroes, Cartoons, Nudity, Humiliation, how can it get any better?
I'm currently reading: Chinese Martial Arts Training Manuals - by Brian Kennedy and Elizabeth Guo. Great book debunking martial myth from facts, as cited by martial arts historians and authors of the early 1900's. Great book, learned a lot from it.
Besides my father, I'm going to say Spidey, Batman and the X-Men. Who were you expecting; George W.?
