We are the musicmakers; and we are the dreamers of dreams

About Me

So I finally gave in to all of the pressure and got one of these accounts. Is this what they mean by "social networking"? Wow. A whole box labeled "About Me" to fill with information -- about me... autobiographical stuff seems so mundane. If you are truly curious about the details of my life, send me a message and ask! I've been married to my high school sweetheart since 2000, I have a LOT of the same friends I had in high school, and I still live on the Southeast side -- I guess I am essentially the same person! So if you liked me then, e-mail me now -- if you didn't, well, then either hold on to the demons of your past, or turn over a new leaf in the name of peace and harmony and e-mail me anyway.

My Interests

I am a pool shooting, jukebox playing, karaoke singing greasy food eating bar bitch. I love BARS -- not clubs, not dance halls, not lounges -- BARS. I also enjoy going to the movies, trying new restaurants, and playing the occasional RPG or adventure video game. Outdoors I love to camp and fish, and occasionally hike, although I've been told I'm really more of a nature walker because I stop too much to smell flowers and chase butterflies.

I'd like to meet:

I'm happy to say that most of my friends are people I've known for over ten years. I like having friends who knew me before I even knew who I was; they help me to remember who I wanted to be -- and who I once believed I could become. I think reconnecting with people from the past helps to keep ourselves in perspective, and remind us of how we've grown and changed. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with anyone from my past -- time changes us all, and I would love to kick back and have a few laughs with anyone who wants to share some memories. No matter how long it's been, or what the circumstances of our last conversation were, send me a message -- say hi. People and circumstances change, and it's important we all remember that. Additionally, I'm excited to meet new people too -- new friends keep you young and encourage us to try new places and things.

Music:

I'm mostly a classic rock gal, but I once chased a man around a bar with a pool cue for saying that Metallica's black album sucked, and I have told my husband that if country singer Alan Jackson knocks on my door and begs me to make love to him, I will have to oblige. My favorite ablum is currently Green Day's "American Idiot," and my favorite band of all time is a tie between Fleetwood Mac and Aerosmith.

Movies:

I collect all things MUPPET!!! I have nearly every Muppet movie ever made, and I think Jim Henson was the voice of a generation and a genius.
You Are Miss Piggy
A total princess and diva, you're totally in charge - even if people don't know it.
You want to be loved, adored, and worshiped. And you won't settle for anything less.
You're going to be a total star, and you won't let any of the "little people" get in your way.
Just remember, piggy, never eat more than you can lift! The Muppet Personality Test Two of my favorite movies are "Robin Hood: Men In Tights" and "Full Metal Jacket". I also collect musicals and I enjoy any movie that was a book first. I love comedies, Kung Fu movies and comic book movies, and pretty much anything with Mel Gibson in it.

Television:

I LOVE TELEVISION!!!! I don't have cable because I would turn into a total couch potato. My favorite shows are "Roseanne", "The Simpsons", "South Park", "House M.D.", "Boston Legal", and "C.S.I." I also rent television series from Blockbuster so I can watch them all at once -- "24", "The Shield", "Sopranos", "Arrested Development", "Deadwood", "Dead Like Me", and "Six Feet Under" are among my favorites.

Books:

I love Jean Auel -- I've read her entire Earth's Children series. I also enjoy true crime novels -- my brainless indulgence. One of the most beautiful novels I've ever read was Rain of Gold by Victor Villasenor, and my favorite novel of all time is The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. I enjoy Mary Higgins Clark, John Grisham, and Brian Jacques entire Redwall series.

Heroes:

My heroes are anyone who stands up for what and who they believe in -- people who question authority and take a chance on the future. Anyone who has ever made a wish and believed it would come true, and anyone who places others before themselves. These are the people who sacrifice their today for your tomorrow, and they make our world a better place.
