Minnesota-based artist Darrin Rosha has already made a significant impact on the MInnesota music scene. In five years, Darrin has recorded one full-length CD, titled "One Shirt", as well as numerous single recordings. "One Shirt" and its plaintive title track have reached sales and overall distribution of 3,000 units, and for an independent recording, have garnered respectable airplay in southern and central Minnesota.
In November 2004, Darrin recorded a holiday single, "Minnesota Christmas Eve", which quickly became a successful commercial effort. In December 2005, the single sold over 800 copies and enjoyed 400 spins on country and variety stations across Minnesota.
Rosha and independent label Runestone Records plan on releasing his new full-length CD "All for Me" in 2007.
"This was my first effort at writing, performing, and producing all of my own songs," Rosha states. "It's a very cool experience."
While pursuing his craft as a singer/songwriter, Darrin Rosha has become a respectable member of the regional performance community. Twice on the WE Fest main stage, Rosha and his bandmates have played with country giants including Tim McGraw, Montgomery Gentry, Martina McBride, Toby Keith, Sawyer Brown, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Pam Tillis, Phil Vassar, SheDaisy, Tracy Lawrence, and Emerson Drive.
Currently, Darrin is performing with regional country supergroup, Jug. http://www.jugfan.com. Darrin also performs with Twin Cities uberguitarist Corey Rae White to create an acoustic show cleverly dubbed "Hillwilliam" (as in the 'sophisticated' hillbilly).
