Off the streets and straight into the lap of luxury. Boy did I luck out! Apparently, as he tells it, my future human didn't want another dog. He had said so on dozens of occasions. Demo was going to be the last pet for him for a while. After all of Demo's health problems, who could blame him for feeling a little bit burnt out on the whole thing? Me? I'm easy. Everything looks either good to sniff, good to lick, good to eat, or good to mark. I've got no problems. So one day, back when I was living on the streets I saw this uptight human, his beautiful woman human, and his old pit bull named Demo. I cut short a conversation I was having with someone else and trotted over to the three of them. The human noticed I was a boy pit, like Demo, but much bigger. He told me later he wasn't sure how we'd get along at that moment. Not wanting a fight on his hands, he picked Demo up and threw him behind a fence. That didn't stop me. I crawled under that fence and got right to the old dog. That's when it became clear to everyone that I wasn't a fighter. I just sniffed Demo till my nose was blue. No problems at all. Suffice it to say Demo's been my friend ever since and that uptight human has been my walker ever since. The human and his woman have trained me and fed me and given me many treats. I do my best to do what they say, though I do get distracted by things sometimes. As long as they exercise me, I don't act poorly. In fact, I've helped the human to be less uptight which is good, cuz he needed it.
