About Me

Hal Camplin came to Bristol via an operation on his spine in New York to form a band with ex-Chronics frontman Jimmy Barnett.

They setup a gambling company called The Flying Foal instead. When Barnett was taken into care, Camplin set up an arts space in 2002 called Kangaroo Kourt where he recorded in a floorless loft studio. He helped develop a new performance scene with local poets and graffiti artists.Badgertrap is the purest and most lunatic black humour you'll ever cum across.NEWS...Album coming lookout 2009. Download, maybe by WAV - nobody's done that before have they? Possibly limited edition dvd with barry the badger.EP 'Pity the Fool' released on indy label Kangaroo Kourt down to last few copies. Spare Velvet-like chords provide the bedding for wry Richman-echoing songs with ace lines like : “We can get married wherever we like, we just can’t have sex in Nebraska because you’re 13 and I’m 21. And also you’re my sister so all our children will be blue.” -Julian Owen of Venue magazine-
