About Me

Common Law was formed a little over a year ago by Michael and former bassist Jake when they found Jeff through the internet. They played a few times and then Jeff's friend Alex sat in once and played with the guys, and was soon in the band. The group stayed at these four members for quite some time until recently. Jake was off at college and the band was still around and looking for a vocalist. Bruce Dickey is new to Lexington but is certainly not new to making good music. A guitar player/bass player/vocalist, Bruce is a great new addition to the Common Law Quartet.

Influences: The Common Law Quartet has a firm background in classic rock and jazz, which leads to a unique blend of fusion. Common Law is constantly drawing from a wide array of musical influences, whether it be jazz greats, blues legends, or shred masters, each member brings his own style into the band, giving Common Law a distinct sound appreciated by all? We hope so.
