About Me

I am a Bay Area (Oakland/San Francisco) based artist who has always had a passion for melody. After mimicking my favorite singers in my bedroom for years, I finally found my own voice. In 1995, I ran into a friend, who I hadn't seen in years, and witnessed her perform a short set performed with just a guitarist. I was madly in love with the idea! Soon after finding a very talented guitarist / songwriter, Colin Hall, we collaborated, writing for over two years, playing venues such as Mr. Ralph's, 691 Gallery, Sondays and Dylan's. It was an uncomplicated set that seemed to move people in a way that inspired us to put out a fourteen-song tape, "King Bee Sessions" (1996), produced by Rene Tyler, for the small fan base that we were beginning to establish. We continued to play at somewhat larger venues such as Sol y Luna, Ibiza, Gay Pride S.F., Bay T.V., Ruby Skye and The Red Devil Lounge. On my last project, "Two Days" (2004), I sang lead with the band blackporch, and it has been labled a blend of eclectic funk, folk, jazz thanks to the amazing support of talented producer Blyss, and composer, Tim Chang. We've played The Whiskey in L.A., Ruby Skye, Kimball's East and Ibiza. Thanks for taking the time to check out my music. "Music is life."Of course, this is only one of the many facets of me.
