One day, I am gonna grow wings.

About Me

On a lunch-break a few days ago, I bought Ulysses from Sundance Bookstore. It was an impulse buy and the man behind the counter commented, "James Joyce. Good luck getting through it. I don't know anyone who has."
I swiped my debit card and replied, "really..."
"Too many run-ons for me!" Interrupted the middle-aged woman behind me.
"Are you reading this for a class?"
"No. And maybe I'm not sure why I'm buying it."
"To look good on your shelf," the woman smirked.
"Actually," putting my card back in my wallet, I snapped it closed and set it down on the counter. I needed my hands free to continue, it's annoying to talk without them acting out some movement. "The book is the Odyssey, right? Well, there's a section of the Telemachiad or I guess what represents the Telemachiad, where a character philosophizes over the signifier and signified. That's what I'm interested in." I looked up at the man behind the counter. He and the woman exchanged glances and the latter replied, but what was said was lost as I thanked the man.

Anyone. Though, specifically, the person who wrote this:

"So, recently, I saw Indiana Jones. He was fighting Bob Dylan. Before that, I saw a preview in which Batman was also fighting Bob Dylan. I also noticed, however, that Batman <[i>was], Bob Dylan. But nobody has more inner turmoil than The Batman, so, technically, Batman was fighting Bob Dylan twice. Oh, the evil that is Bob Dylan."
