Spurious Transients

About Me

Spurious Transients is the name given to the musical meanderings of one G L Wilson. The first Spurious Transients recordings date back to the mid 1980s, although the exact dates are all becoming a bit hazy now. Originally the name "Spurious Transients" was coined to describe a malfunctioning drum machine owned by Ship Matey Sime.
The personnel of the "band" has changed over the years and has operated as a duo, a four-piece, and as a solo performer - i.e. the one constant member, G L Wilson.
Those who have also served include Parsley, Ship Matey Sime, Miguel the Mad Axe Wielding Italian Waiter, Mortimer Ferretwheel, and some people with more sensible names: Andy Watt, Martin Scott, and David Smith.

"The Homecoming" uploaded

These days my music tends to be of a more "experimental" nature, if I can use that very convenient catch-all phrase. However, it wasn't always so, and on a couple of occasions I have deliberately striv...
