Travel Pop: Music Without Borders

About Me

What happens when travellers meet? With Daniel and Lucy's far out japanese experience and David's indian revolution, expect the unexpected: a fusion between british folk music, indian classical rhythms and percussions and a japanese traditionnal koto going "pop"! Oriental Rock, Indi, Pop-World-Folk, Celtic Curry, ..., the music impresarios desperately try to squeeze Tiger the Lion into a snug-fitting box, but this band is much more: Catchy, original, eclectic, folky echoes, captivating, hypnotic, intoxicating asian rhythms, Tiger the Lion will transport you to a place far away and yet not so unfamiliar. After scoring high in the charts with its E.P. "When You're in There", introducing indian harmonium in addition to the original instrumentation, Tiger the Lion is now busy finalising an ambitious new recording under the working title of "Small Enough". This will be the band's first attempt at a real concept album, a disc that will be a complete work in itself; where the music never really stops; where the listener is taken on a single hour-long journey through the humbled experience of smallness. Smallness of feeling overwhelmed by a situation; smallness of the increasingly endangered biotic diversity of our planet; smallness of our world in the context of infinite space which surrounds it... So watch this space 'cause smallness is just about to get bigger!..................................................... .

Sweating for the cd release's concert

It's this kind of work that makes a musician realize how better life would be if only the band had a manager helping out! It's not like I don't like spending hours on internet, calling people over ...
