About Me

DFam When it comes to thought provoking, street-bred raw lyricism, d Fams fountain of wisdom, Yung Ryteous, takes his job very seriously. His group crafts their double-edged rhymes with flows that mirror their skills and the precise technique of their talent. Three years ago Yung Ryteous came to West London from the Dirty South. While he was here he started networking, trying to find producers and other artists he could work with in his new neighbourhood. He found a producer living in Hanwell, West London that ran a studio from his home. Quickly Yung and the producer started to record music together. Around this time, Yung was introduced to Killa, who was also recording with the same producer. Yung told Killa about how he wanted to form a group of talented MCs called dFam. Killa was down from jump so he and Yung both started to look for other artists of their calibre of skills and the same mindset. The next to enter dFam was Two Tone, a sweet voiced R & B singer who also raps on occasion. One day in January 2002 Tone was recording at a college studio in Watford when Yung heard him in the booth singing a hook. The two talked and agreed to meet down at a studio in West London. The next to be added was Brolik. Brolik and Ryteous met through a friend that was their barber. When Yung showed Brolik what he was about, Brolik said he was down. The last member to step in the picture was Arson Leader Sizz. Sizz met Ryteous in the Manner of west, where the two politicked on various matters. D Fam produced a mix tape called Royal Fam Vol.1, which they distributed around London for £5 each they sold and gave over 2,000 copies. DFam has been working over the last three years recording for their upcoming album and making music people want to hear. From the streets to the sheets and from the clubs to the pubs, DFam gives their listeners what they want and need to hear with uncompromised lyrics. D Fam has done shows at venues all across London and outer London such as 10 Room in Piccadilly, Zoo Bar in Lester Square, Mass in Brixton, Zed Bar in Kilburn, The Arch in Angel, Ruby Lo, Plan B, The White Room in High Wycombe and The Mission in Southall. DFam isnt like any other group out their in the Market, different styles from across the world join up to show what hip hop is all about. WATCH OUT!
