Tired of all that wack shit on the radio? Lavaman is the last hope for real Hip-Hop. Nowadays in a music industry that's flooded with politics and marketing tactics, good stuff almost never gets heard. But there's hope! Lavaman has been keeping it real since 1988 when he started rapping in the staircases of "jungle"- Toronto's largest housing project. Allthough Lavaman was born in Jamaica (the birthplace of rap itself), Hip-Hop was his way of releasing the fustration of living in a concrete jungle controlled by a nation of people who can't relate to his culture and situation. Kicked out of school, trouble with the law and no money, Lava aquired a degree in street knowledge. This is when he also began to seek his true Rastafarian Identity. His music is now a powerful force that is deeply rooted in the underground and spilling over into the mainstream with power.
