Pens, papers, shiny things, new words that tickle my ear, a locked gaze, lost things that find their way, a single beat inside a maze of noise, and ideas that are birthed into conciseness.
There's noone I'd really like to meet, but I suppose people find themselves together sometimes. If this is asking me what catches my eyes or ears with people are stances...If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. Convictions (not necessarily the ones that incarcerate...but i don't rule those out) I like bizarre people, slightly derailed trains of thought, ego, theunedited editions, rough and tumble boys who after they kiss ya they wanna squeeze ya... an- ti- ci- paaaaaaaaa- tion! ( that no way infers I like English transvestites with big teeth) granted, i do like big teeth, and big noses, and ears that stick out. If ya wanna take the chance by sending me a hello go for it. My AIM is SBRobotics1020... I do however bite when provoked...or asked nicely. and Like morrissey once crooned in the late 80's " shyness is nice, but shyness can stop you, from doing all the things in life you'd like to..." he also warned, " if not love, it's the bomb, the bomb, the bomb that will bring us together..."
I probably know more about music than most people (foot note ... industrial, punk, new way, alternative)Location and mood determines who I'm listening to at that moment... Home at night: Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star, UF Orb, Sinead, Sigur Ros, Milla Jovavich, This Mortal Coil. During the day: Peter Murphy (with or without Bauhaus) The Bollock Brothers, Public Image Limited, Thrill Kill Kult, Pop Will Eat Itself, Dead Kennedy's, Dead Milkmen. In the car: Swing out Sister, The Sundays, The Blow Monkeys, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, The Postal Service, Morrissey (with or without The Smiths ). Out & About: I dig really hard-core breakbeats, Kraftwerk, DJ Baby Ann, Old Skool Sasha & Digweed, Africabambata, The Beastie Boys, Nitzer Ebb, Ministry ... and just 'cause they're fun: The 5.6.7.8's, Shonen Knife, Kero, Esquivel, Pizzicato 5, The Cramps, etc.
Hmm...I dig most of Greg Araki flicks: Doom Generation, SubUrbia, Nowhere, Heavenly Creatures, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Heathers, House of Yes, Mikey Moo, and most of things on IFC or Sundance, but not in a pretentious art house fag sorta way ... but sorta.
The Revolting Cocks say: "t.v. the drug of the nation, feeding iggnorance, by selling radiation..." and I watch a whole lot of it thanks to the all mighty Tivo God.
I could fill in a bunch of titles to books that'll make me seem well read, but I honestly don't read that much unless it's for class...But I liked The Prayer for Owen Meaney, Richard Bachs books: The Reluctant Messiah, One, Illusions, Nick bantock, some Anne Rice stuff... I get lost in her 10 page descriptions on what the character is wearing, and then have to flip back to see if and why I just needed to read that. I guess I'm not Goth enough or something.
Personal Heroes? Um... I could put mom and papa down, or oma and opa, but... I like WonderWoman, and Rogue ... um...I don't really look up to anyone in awe... BTW, when and how did Wonder Woman start flying without her invisible Jet?
