About Me

Martina Wheeler is a 24 year old opera singer in Eastern Ky. She grew up in a small town and when she was in 3rd grade at Blaine elementary school her music teacher played Moonlight Sonata for her. Ever since she's been hooked on classical music. Martina currently teaches elementarymusic in PGC, Maryland. She recently taught voice at the Mountian Arts Center in Prestonsburg, Ky. She was a graduate assistant at Morehead State University, where she was the alto section leader in both the Concert Choir and the Chamber Singers. Martina also served as the stage manager for the Opera Works Troop. Martina is an alumnae member of Sigma Alpha Iota, Phi Kappa Phi honor's Fraternity, and is a current member of CMENC, and the former president of ACDA( American Choral Director's Association). In 2003 Martina took second place in the regional NATS competition and was a finalist for the Galleher Performance Scholarship competition. Outside of the music world Martina holds a second degree blackbelt in Shao-lin Kung Fu, and is a member of the Louise Chapter 292 of the Order of the Eastern Stars!*Keep in mind all my songs are live...with no mics or professional recording .Get your layout at TweakYourPage.com

the martina had an audition today for choralis!!! i of course was a nervous wreck! i even showed up 45 minutes early for duty lol! My choice was to go with a more, choir friendly solo...so I do...
