If there is one thing in life we can all be sure of its that nothing lasts forever. There was a time when myspace seemed like the way, the light, the only social networking site any self respecting web user would spend his or her time freely frittering away the hours over.
Then; along came facebook, a new contender to the social networking throne. At first it seemed like a fad, a phase - something that would go away. It didnt. Facebook grew as more and more myspace users began to switch their allegiance to the new site.
And so it is with great regret I must leave the world of myspace forever, it served it's purpose well and it will be fondly remembered. But im on facebook now and im happier than I ever was with myspace. No more unwelcome comments from spammed friends accounts and no more messages from bands who want to become the next Atric Monkeys - inviting me to listen to the demo they just recorded on their Fisherprice tape recorder. Thanks, but no thanks.
