Everyday we see the products of dire neighborhoods chaotically run through the streets committing violent crimes and inhumane actions. Nevertheless, some let these disreputable circumstances power them to succeed; to run away. Versatiles inspiration, passion, and spirit stems from the perseverance to fight and transgress from the road that was laid out for them. The members of Versatile are brothersnot through bloodbut through life. They grew up on the same block in Germantown, a poverty stricken neighborhood of Philadelphia. Raised in single-parent homes, they were faced with financial problems. Food, clothes, heat and shelter was never a definite amenity. Drugs and violence was a black cloud relentlessly ripping into the lives of everybody around them. Nevertheless, the brothers took their talents and used them as a crutch to carry them through and empower them to fight for good. Versatile, continues to devote their heart and soul to mentor, educate and promote mental, spiritual and physical well-being. Organizing community events and fundraisers in numerous schools, group-homes, and religious organizations, Versatile hopes to give guidance to people in similar circumstances.
Versatile will continue to devote themselves to incessantly build and cultivate Hip-Hop as a genuine art form, to overstep traditional boundaries, and to always preserve its purity.
