Learning to live again......The Christian Way

About Me

I'm 37, divorced, mother of 2 wonderful kids, 4 horses, 3 dogs, 2 bunnies, 10 cats, 2 cows,.............. I am a born again Christian. My life is dedicated to serving God and trying to live and enjoy it without all of the aggravation. Since turning my life over to God and allowing him to take control I have been able to make some LONG overdue changes. I have gained strength I never knew I had. I have a new outlook on life in general. It's an awesome feeling to be able to finally see and hear what God intended for me to notice. I have always been told that old saying "slow down and take time to smell the roses." I'm glad I can now say I listened to that advice before it was too late. I have wondered where it was that I was going in such a hurry and I now realize it wasnt the right place or the right person to be rushing to. I learned the hard way what the true meaning of that saying is. I now take one day at a time and live my life to the fullest as if it were my last day here. No I don't do any dangerous activities........I just live everyday trying to get closer to the Lord and gain strength and guidance from His word.
LETTER FROM GOD
My child,
You may not know me, but I know everything about you (Psalm 139:1).
I know when you sit down and when you rise up(Psalm 139:2).
I am familiar with your ways (Psalm 139:3), even the very hairs on your head are numbered (Matt 10:29-31).
For you were made in my image (Genesis 1:27).
In me you live and move and have your being (Acts 17:28), for you are my offspring (Acts 17:28).
I knew you even before you were conceived (Jeremiah 1:45).
I chose you when I planned creation (Ephesians 1:11-12),
You were not a mistake, for all your days are written in my book(Psalm 139:15-16).
I determined the exact time of your birth and where you would live (Acts 17:26).
You were fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14),
I knit you together in your mother's womb (Psalm 139:13), and brought you forth on the day you were born (Psalm 71:6).
I have been misrepresented by those who don't know me (John 8:41-44)
I am not distant and angry, but I am the complete expression of love (1 John 4:16) and it is my desire to lavish my love on you. (1 John 3:1)
Simply because you are my child and I am your Father (1 John 3:1)
I offer you more than your earthly father ever could (Matthew 7:11)
For I am the perfect father (Matthew 5:48)
Every good gift that you receive comes from my hand (James 1:17)
For I am your provider and I meet all your needs (Matthew 6:31-33)
My plan for your future has always been filled with hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Because I love you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3)
My thoughts toward you are countless as the sand on the seashore (Psalms 139:17-18)
And I rejoice over you with singing. (Zephaniah 3:17)
I will never stop doing good to you (Jeremiah 32:40)
For you are my treasured possession (Exodus 19:5)
I desire to establish you with all my heart and all my soul (Jeremiah 32:41)
And I want to show you great and marvelous things (Jeremiah 33:3)
If you seek me with all your heart, you will find me (Deuteronomy 4:29)
Delight in me and I will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4)
For it is I who gave you those desires (Philippians 2:13)
I am able to do more for you than you could possibly imagine (Ephesians 3:20)
For I am your greatest encourager (2 Thessalonians 2: 16-17)
I am also the Father who comforts you in all your troubles (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
When you are broken hearted, I am close to you (Psalm 34:18)
As a shepherd carries a lamb, I have carried you close to my heart (Isaiah 40:11)
One day I will wipe away every tear from your eyes (Revelation 21:3-4)
And I'll take away all the pain you have suffered on this earth (Revelation 21:3-4)
I am your Father, and I love you even as I love my son, Jesus (John 17:23)
For in Jesus, my love for you is revealed (John 17:26)
He is the exact representation of my being (Hebrews 1:3)
He came to demonstrate that I am for you, not against you (Romans 8:31)
And to tell you that I am not counting your sins (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
Jesus died so that you and I could be reconciled (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
His death was the ultimate expression of my love for you (1 John 4:10)
I gave up everything I loved that I might gain your love (Romans 8:31-32)
If you receive the gift of my son Jesus, you receive me (1 John 2:23)
And nothing will ever separate you from my love again (Romans 8:38-39)
Come home and I'll throw the biggest party heaven has ever seen (Luke 15:7)
I have always been Father, and will always be Father (Ephesians 3:14-15)
My question is, will you be my child? (John 1:12-13)
I am waiting for you (Luke 15:11-32)
Love,
Your Dad. Almighty God

Many people will walk in and out of your life. But only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

To handle yourself, use your head:
To handle others, use your heart.

Anger is only one letter short of danger

If someone betrays you once, it is his fault:
If he betrays you twice, it is your fault.

Great minds discuss ideas:
Average minds discuss events:
Small minds discuss people.

He, who loses money, loses much:
He, who loses a friend, loses much more:

Learn from the mistakes of others.
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.

Love..............like it will never hurt

The Bible....................................................... .........
FOOTPRINTS...A New Version
Imagine you and the Lord Jesus are walking down the road together.
For much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace.
But your footprints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures, and returns.
For much of the way, it seems to go like this, but gradually your footprints come more in line with the Lord's, soon paralleling His consistently.
You and Jesus are walking as true friends!
This seems perfect, but then an interesting thing happens: Your footprints that once etched the sand next to Jesus' are now walking precisely in His steps.
Inside His larger footprints are your smaller ones, you and Jesus are becoming one.
This goes on for many miles, but gradually you notice another change.
The footprints inside the large footprints seem to grow larger.
Eventually they disappear altogether.
There is only one set of footprints. They have become one.
This goes on for a long time, but suddenly the second set of footprints is back.
This time it seems even worse! Zigzags all over the place.
Stops. Starts. Gashes in the sand.
A variable mess of prints.
You are amazed and shocked.
Your dream ends. Now you pray:
"Lord, I understand the first scene, with zigzags and fits.
I was a new Christian; I was just learning.
But You walked on through the storm and helped me learn to walk with You."
"That is correct."
"And when the smaller footprints were inside of Yours, I was actually learning to walk in Your steps, following You very closely."
"Very good.. You have understood everything so far."
When the smaller footprints grew and filled in Yours, I suppose that I was becoming like You in every way."
"Precisely."
"So, Lord, was there a regression or something?
The footprints separated, and this time it was worse than at first."
There is a pause as the Lord answers, with a smile in His voice.
"You didn't know? It was then that we danced!"
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4.
If tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day
that you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today,
whisper in their ear,
tell them how much you love them and
that you'll always hold them dear.
Always Take Time to say
"I'm sorry,"
"Please forgive me,"
"Thank you" or
"It's okay".
And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today.

Heroes:

The Almighty God.
My children. They have been through alot in their life, however they continue to remain strong.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!
10 RULES FOR A BLESSED DAY
TODAY I will not strike back. . . If someone is rude, if someone is impatient, if someone is unkind, I will not respond in a like manner.
TODAY I will ask God to bless my 'enemy'. . If I come across someone who treats me harshly or unfairly, I will quietly ask God to bless that individual. I understand "enemy" could be a family member, neighbor, co-worker or stranger.
TODAY I will be careful about what I say. . . I will carefully choose and guard my words being certain that I do not spread gossip.
TODAY I will go the extra mile. . .I will find ways to help share the burden of another person.
TODAY I will forgive. . .I will forgive any hurts or injuries that come my way.
TODAY I will do something kind for someone,(But I will do it in secret. . . )I will reach out anonymously and bless the life of another.
TODAY I will treat others the way I wish to be treated. I will practice the golden rule. "Do Unto others as I would have them do unto me"- with EVERYONE I encounter.
TODAY I will raise the spirits of some who is discouraged. My smile, my words, my expression of support, can make the difference to someone who is wrestling with life.
TODAY I will nurture by body . . . I will eat less . . . I will eat only healthy foods. I will thank God for my body.
TODAY I will grow Spiritually. . . I will spend a little more time in prayer today. I will begin reading something spiritual or inspirational; I will find a quiet place (at some point during this day) and listen to God's voice.
" 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
" Wherever you live, there are needy people close by.There is no good reason for refusing to help. Remember, today is a gift from God so treat it preciously
NEVER FORGET TO STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES AND THANK GOD FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
" The Will of GOD will never take you where the GRACE of GOD will not protect you."
