I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Who's this old guy requesting to be your friend on MySpace??? Is he a PERV? Is he FEEBLE MINDED? Is he ...NOT RIGHT? What's he want? He aint one of them WEIRDOS is he? ***********************************************************
I'm Jim Nuchols, musician, songwriter, social work dude, drug counselor, and crazy person. First off, I am MARRIED!!!!! I am not looking for sex, a relationship, or someone to make me some good homemade pizza...hey wait a minute, that pizza thing sounds pretty darned good... Don't request an add if you are trying to promote some porno site or if you're trying to get me to download the MySpace Adult Viewer (which is a virus, I am told). Otherwise I'll add anybody and everybody because I like people! Besides, who can't use a new friend?!!!************************************************** *********************I like jazz, heavy metal, classical, and blues music (anything really except that rap crap and I'm not a big country music fan but I'm beginning to appreciate it more and more). LIKE MY SONGS? Everything you hear on this page is either a song I wrote, co-wrote, or at least performed on. Let me know what you think. ************************************************************ **********
I like to read almost anything. I like movies and old TV shows. I am very political (I'm a libertarian) and I believe in God (as I understand God). I have a pretty twisted sense of humor. I used to have a reputation for being wild and crazy (mostly undeserved but you know how people can be). My knickname in college was Ozzy. ***********************************************************
I am a licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor, but that license is in retirement. I'm a dad. I've got a daughter in high school and a daughter in elemetary school, both guitar players and both rockers. I used to ride my bicycle to stay in shape. The dogs chase me often. I need to get back on it and start up again. I am a freemason (past master, 32nd degree, Shriner) and I can't say enough good stuff about the masons. You interested in joining? Let me know. **** ***********************************************************
I like to travel and see places I've never been to or places I haven't seen in awhile (things change fast these days). I've seen London, I've seen France, I've seen ...well, I really wanna go out west again 'cause I know things have changed there since I've been there. I've travelled all over the U.S. too but I've never been to NYC, Alaska, nor Hawaii. I'd love to go to Denmark, Sweden, and the former Soviet countries. Finland, too! ***********************************************************
I was born in Maryville, Tennessee but we moved to Peoria, Illinois when I was little. We moved back to Tennessee when I was eight. At age 14, we moved to Sonoma (and later San Rafael), California for awhile. Then my family moved to Alabama but I moved back to Tennessee with a relative. At age 18, I moved to Kentucky to go to college. Four years later, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona. I eventually returned to Tennessee. ***********************************************************
I have been in bands since I was about 13 years old (Albatross with Tim Jones, Mike Hunley, Chris Peterson, Steve Goins). By the time I was 16 I was performing in public and by 23 I was playing major venues with bands I was in, including VANDAL (with Scott Gross, Marc Payne, and Jim Onks), Christian Rockers VESSEL (again with Scott Gross, Marc Payne, and Jim Onks plus Kelly Smith), GLASSHEART (with Mark Smith, Kelly Smith, Tommy Jackson, Walter Moore, and Neil Jones briefly), and TANGENT (with Charles Dykes, Tim Maines, Brian Lemings, Greg Marmon, Jay Overcash, Roy Woodson, and Jason Andrews). I've done shows with alot of great bands including Firehouse, Stryper, Superdrag, Every Mother's Nightmare, Paul DiAnno's Battlezone, Nailed, Asphalt Ballet, Margaret Becker, Rick Cua, Darrell Mansfield, Phil Keaggy, Leon Patillo, Bryan Duncan, Whiteheart, Overflow, some tribute bands, and some other great local bands that you may not have heard about. My main instrument is the piano and other keyboards but I also do lead and backing vocals, play the harmonica, saxophone, guitar, bass, and I want to learn to play the dulcimer. I now play in 2 bands, one called Tangent and the other called Audio Blitz (OK, I'm not crazy about the name. Sounds like a special at a stereo store but we're good). They have a MySpace page too (audioblitzrocks). Tangent has one too (tangentmachine) Come and see me! I'll sing you a song. I don't bite... much. I'm hoping that Tangent is going into the studio soon. ***********************************************************

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Jesus so I could get all the answers to the questions in my mind. I'm not in a hurry though...I can be patient with this.
*********************************************************** Hey check out my music I've recorded over the years with bands like Tangent, Vessel, Glassheart, Vandal, and some other stuff I've done by myself or with friends and download some songs! The songs you hear on my page here are songs I have either written, co-written, or performed on. Go to Seventh March Music's PAGE! Also my band has a page: Audio Blitz page!

Hey, I am already registered to vote (and have been since I was 18 years old!) but if you are not, then please do so. Click below!
