Central Reservation

Have a good time, all the time.

About Me

.. When the dust had settled, after nineties folk/country/pop/rockers Nervous finally imploded. Three of it's members; Richard , Dino and Barny, couldn't stop themselves and, after a suitable break, dragged each other back into the rehearsal/recording studio, only this time it was going to be different. With no agenda except to enjoy making the kind of music they wanted to make. They started with a few songs Richard had been working on, very quickly, a sound and an approach they agreed on was established. As progress and recordings were made and they started to go out and play, they toyed with names, 'Knob' being one of the more unsuccessful tries. 'Toolshed' was another one but someone already used it. Harry K suggested Central Reservation and it just seemed to fit the bands emerging 'middle of the road' sound and it has stuck. With a mutual appreciation of 'woody' or 'nutty' natural sounds, Central Reservation have tried to minimise any digital impact by trying to use the computer like a tape machine, turning the screen off as much as possible. Still noisily beavering away in their studio, The Cottage, a cut down shipping container dangling over the north bank of the river Thames in east London, putting the finishing touches to Their imminent album.
