I am here for Friends

About Me

I am the mother of 2 boys whom I homeschool using Abeka curriculum along with VARIOUS other materials including an enchanted childhood the way it should be, the stuff dreams are made of. :) I am married to Matthew, the one who quickens my pulse, for 10 years now. I am also a student midwife, learning to catch babies at home, and struggling with where to get that experience! I also attend women in hospital as a doula and monitrice. I love to giggle and I seem to always be happy and smiling. I love how my life has grown and evolved from it's beginnings. I love to find ways to make life more natural and simple. I just trust this rock that God made and believe it was good in his eyes and will be so in my own. I love to garden and feel the dirt in my hands, to be connected to the real things in life. :) Louisiana is my home now and I LOVE it! But, I grew up in Pensacola, Florida YUCK! Don't miss it in the least, well who wouldn't miss the seashore and crashing waves? That is what I miss! I have also lived in Germantown, Maryland. I am a vegetarian and I love to cook yummy gourmet veggie meals for my family. :) My oldest son is a type 1 diabetic and we are praying for a CURE!
It is FALL! I have been a Fall Girl as long as I can remember! My best friend in school and I would walk on the train tracks singing duets to the worn tracks by her house. I rested in leaves all crunchy and earthy smelling, and pretended I was an Indian girl until my fingers and toes were NUMB! I dreamed of the man who would live a journey with me and understand me in awesome and tender ways. I talked to God about my future and enjoyed his gift of crisp days and snuggly nights. I am so thankful for this season...the way it changes the pace and sets my mind to remembering and wandering.
