Anyé began singing at various night clubs in the Central Florida area The Other Place, Groove, and Club Zeeba. And made local history has the first openly gay high school representative when he won the Mr. Mainland High School competition in 2005. In May 2006 Anyé made his South Florida debut as a headlining performer for the American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Lifeâ€. He’s also worked with the University of Miami and the Future Leader’s of the World (FLOW) program to create a performance arts piece that would tour the Miami-Dade area educating youths on HIV prevention.
In late 2006, Anyé released his promotional demo “Todo De Mi†featuring the popular lead single “Everytime We Make Love†to rave reviews.
2007 Began with Anyé in Atlanta, Georgia. As well as joining the Elite Family, Anyé helped to co-ordinate Atlanta’s first week long celebration of African-American Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual &&035;38; Transgendered History aptly titled PHYRE (www.afterthephyre.com). In light conjunction with that effort Anyé also modeled for the “Question Homophobia Campaign†as well as the “Deeper Love Project Homepageâ€. Anyé is featured in the Southern Voice and CLIK Magazine where he shares his moving coming out story.
Anyé is currently back in Florida working on his debut album titled after his popular promotional release and is looking forward to further empowering gay people specifically those of color around the world.
