Drawing influences from 70's Classic rock and Arena Rock bands like Kiss, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick and the Who and combining them with 80's pop metal hooks similar to Motley Crue, Warrant and Poison with a splash of bubblegum & the Hair Band of your choice, early David Bowie and even 80's pop elements like Duran Duran, Cartoon Factory sounds like everything you love and yet nothing you've heard before. With CD sales and radio airplay in 9 countries (as of this writing) the genre crossing, ageless music of the CF is catching on all over the world.
Various incarnations of the band have been tapped to open shows for and /or toured with luminaries like Peter Frampton, Molly Hatchett, Blue Oyster Cult, The Hooters, Steve Morse, Danger Danger, Loverboy, Electric Angels, The Storm, and others. The CF is fairly family friendly in an ear bleeding poser sort of way. Unlike the typical hard rockers, you won't hear any profanities spouting from the stage or any songs with blatant alcohol or drug references.
In addition to their Self Titled Debut CD in 2001 (Futurama Records), the band had a smokin' (tho atypical) cover of Dokken's "Tooth and Nail" included on "Will Play for Lynch", a George Lynch Tribute album (Sacred Serpent Records-UK, 2005), a song included on the "NOW HEAR THIS, Volume I Compilation CD (Futurama Records, 2005) and songs featured in the "Art Intensity Vol. 16-Motor City Tattoo Expo" DVD (Art Intensity Network, 2006).
The band is currently on the road in the Southeastern US and in the studio working on tracks for a new CD, slated for a 2009 release on Futurama Records. Music this infectious could start an epidemic. C'mon, get infected!
