AP is the 25-year old rapper/entrepreneur whose artistic visions led to the creation and success of Black Gemz Entertainment. He was born and raised in the Bronx of New York City. He grew up on the corner of Creston Ave. and 183rd, one of the biggest drug blocks in New York. Still, he chose the way of rhyme to get to the top.Hip-hop has always been a part of AP’s life. Five of his uncles were DJ’s in the early ‘80’s and AP spent his childhood watching his uncles battle local up-and-coming DJ’s such as Grand Master Flash and Red Alert, who later helped break hip- hop into the mainstream music world. AP views Black Gemz Entertainment as an outlet for his everyday struggle in life. “I’ve found that no matter what setbacks and losses I’ve taken in the struggle to survive, the only thing that has stayed with me is the rap outlet I had through Black Gemz.” AP is well known in the streets of New York and is currently grinding hard to get his music recognized worldwide. With the great mentors of Grand Pooba and DMC, his style is unquestionably one of the most original flows out there today.
