The Beginning...
Shade was founded in 1989 in Berlin as a simple duet of two friends, Chris Rennier and Timur Liebscher. At the beginning the music was created just on voice and piano. Later on a drummer and a guitar player joined Shade. After some Gigs all members of Shade had to agree, that they couldn't take the same way together anymore...
Shade then was refounded in 1991 by Chris Rennier. At that time the band existed with Sepp Hermann, guitar - Olaf Seifert, bass - Chris Rennier, keys - and right back... Timur Liebscher, voice. After playing some Gigs (Knaak, Rockcafe...) Sepp and Timur left Shade. Furtheron we tested some -untalented- singers, so Chris decided to take the part of the vocalist. Then, so sad, it took a long time to search the right guitar player ...
Shade found Peter Leszinski, who played some impressive concerts, we were very sad as he had to leave the band to get in profession with a "shoe-shop", crazy but true ...
1998 Shade joined violin-player Harald Wolf, but still was searching for a new guitar player. At this time technician Marcus Pawlick came upon the musician side of Shade and added the band as 2nd guitar-player. 1999, after Peter had left, a new first-guitar player called Felix Faust joined the band: The guitar-sound got more Rock and Rhythm.
Shade played in 1999 and 2000 at the WGT in Leipzig the Concert-Reading "Wer ist Was ?". We published our first MP-CD "frühes Morgenrot" with selfproduced songs and some live-recordings, including a reading with Eckart Schulz.
Some Shows followed together with Dead Freddys, Ikon, Schwarz and Jetane Demone. Shade started the recordings of the new MP-CD called "procurer", we published it in 2001.
2001 Dennis Kölpin joined Shade as the drummer. The music of Shade of Shambles grew up in these days to a bright collection of different influences of many genres. The new formation gave the band more power and rhythm on live gigs. But the chance to find a label us unbelievable hard.Felix has found the way back to Shade and plays now the first guitar, he will be with us as a guest musican at the most of the concerts. At last Dennis has been replaced by Jörg Albrecht, we invited him, ...we found him. Now after Jörg has left the band Kevin offers shade the experimental groove and shade got the right formation. Jörg will now only with us as guestdrummer at some concerts.
Now we're shruk to a cured four member Band, Shade of Shambles is well-prepaired for transition into the 21st.Shade has now build a acoustic projekt and worked still on the new Relesase "closed doors". We hope to finished it in Oktober 2010. A acoustic Release is also in planning.
