J-SweetRespected DJ, an accomplished producer/remixer, label / A&R manager, Record shop director J-Sweet has been an massive part of the Grime scene from the very beginning.It was in Uptown records, Soho where J-Sweet began his production career teaming up with the like of Noodles (Groove Chronicles) and Huckleberry Finn to become one of the biggest names in UKG/Grime.It was one of J-Sweet early collaborations with Huckleberry finn titled Still Dancin which set the pace, later picked up on by record label Relentless it featured on Kristine Blondes Love Shy remixes. After this point J-Sweet began a solo production career which led to many other remixes for major record companys including Lighthouse Family, Kim English, Smokin beats , Full Intention, 411, Gemma fox, Chris Brown to name a few..With the launch of his own label Sweetbeetz in 1999 J-sweets collaboration with BBC 1xtras DJ Cameo titled Hi-Grade became a massive hit on the underground music scene. The track later featured on the MOBO 2002 compilation by which it was the only unsigned track on there.
Sweetbeetz is now an successful label with artists signed including Iron Soul, Floops and Kid D all of which are extremely talented and will also have a massive impact on the Grime SceneJ-Sweet has made a firm mark on the scene by having consistant quality productions whether Grime or UKG recent productions from 2005 include Kerb, Kerb 2, Ratz, Going Through ft Aaron Soul, Godzilla Riddim ft Doctor, Lman, Cotti, Nastie, Mr Wong, Burning Up ft D Double E, Bring It ft Essentials & Doctor.In Jan 2005 J-Sweet launched his own store Mixing Records, a specialist record store dedicated to selling the best in UKG/Grime, Hip Hop, Soul, House and DNB.Only a few months into 2006 and J-Sweet has many new projects including singles with Ms Dynamite & NASTY Crew, Wiley, Skepta, JME, Roadside Gs, Aaron Soul, Lman also look for j-sweets production on the forthcoming lethal b albumwww.mixingrecords.comMixing Records
