I am here for Friends

About Me

Well......Reyna, who is the greatest mom in the FUCKING UNIVERSE, and I have been together since 1994. aWe got married in 99. We have 3 beautiful children: Michael Jr., Gavin and Mia. In 2002, our youngest son Gavin was diagnosed with Autism. Ever since then my life has changed dramatically. Gavin has taught me patience and understanding, and unfortunately....anxiety. As a father, and a damn good one at that, I bust my ass to learn everything I can about this fucking disease and how to conquer it. And anyone that knows brain development in children knows that there is a small window of oppurtunity in which to bombard their mind with everything they will use for the rest of their lives. So I'm racing....against time itself. He has shown a lot of improvement though and is such a love bug...never a burden. Our oldest child, Michael is very smart, when he chooses to apply it. Our daughter Mia, who is closest to Gavin in age, began to emulate Gavin much to our disliking. Mia is talking like crazy now, even has her own little attitude. So our worries of her being developmentally challenged have dissipated. So life goes on and I am truly blessed with a wonderful family of my own

My Interests

Every 21 minutes a child is diagnosed with Autism in the U.S. No, this is not due to new ways of diagnosing. I am soundly convinced that this is due to the toxicity of our environment and maybe, just maybe directly connected to thimerosal, which is/was (depending on what you believe)a preservative in the MMR vaccination. In California alone, 1 in every 44 boys will be born with Autism or develop it by age 2. This is a 860% increase of Autism since the MMR vaccination became mandatory in 1997. If you are a new parent, I strongly advise researching this. And dont let your child's pediatrician tell you that all children develop at different rates. Just because these jack asses have a degree doesn't make them any different/better than us. In the end, you should always go with your gut instinct and get help fast, like we did. I love the history of Japanese culture. Big fan of Medieval history and life. I collect Medieval weaponry, art, and castle sculptures. Just a few sick ass individuals that are worth watching.

I'd like to meet:

"I'd love to eat her liver with some fava beans and a nice bottle of chianti." If I sat down with Zach De La Rocha we would probably talk for hours, or at least I would talk to him for hours.

Music:

I was in my room and I was just like staring at the wall thinking about everything But then again I was thinking about nothing And then my mom came in and I didn't even know she was there she called my name And I didn't even hear it, and then she started screaming: MIKE! MIKE! And I go: What, what's the matter And she goes: What's the matter with you? I go: There's nothing-wrong mom. And she goes: Don't tell me that, you're on drugs! And I go: No mom I'm not on drugs I'm okay, I was just thinking you know, why don't you get me a pepsi. And she goes: NO you're on drugs! I go: Mom I'm okay, I'm just thinking. She goes: No you're not thinking, you're on drugs! Normal people don't act that way! I go: Mom just give me a Pepsi please All I want is a Pepsi, and she wouldn't give it to me All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi, and she wouldn't give it to me. Just a Pepsi. They give you a white shirt with long sleeves Tied around you're back, you're treated like thieves Drug you up because they're lazy It's too much work to help a crazy I'm not crazy - institutionalized! You're the one who's crazy - institutionalized! You're driving me crazy - institutionalized! They stuck me in an institution Said it was the only solution To give me the needed professional help To protect me from the enemy, myself" Lots of metal/rock....whatever. and pretty much anything with a dope azz beat

Movies:

KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, Broken Lizard, Kevin Smith. Goodfellas, Almost any movie depicting ancient battles, or Medieval warfare. Anything that is stupid funny, Dumb and Dumber, Napoleon Dynamite, Jim Carrey. I am easily amused, I do have my limits though.

Television:

Don't watch much television....but damn, you just gotta love that Ralphy! History Channel usually has something good on, sometimes TLC.

Books:

I dont have time for fiction. Anything that teaches me something, I'm on it.

Mental tether

So, I'm seeing a lot of advances in Gavin's behavior.  He seems to be developing a strong mental tether to us.  When we go places, like to the park, I will stand guard at one side while Reyn...

My son said hi to me.

So I walk into Gavin's room, where he is jumping on his bed, and I make little kissing sounds.  He stops jumping and walks up to me.  I look him in the eye at eye level and tell him "hi...
