About Me

I believe that photography should not just be an objective window onto our world, but also a subjective interpretation of that which we see. As photographers, we should strive not only to capture beauty or the elements of life that intrigue us, but we should also influence our photos with our own emotions and experiences. We thus make our photos our own and share with others our unique outlook on life.
It is my intent to continuously grow as a photographer and artist and to never stop exploring the myriad techniques and approaches to this art form. There is a constantly growing body of work from current and past photographers, and I seek to learn from them whenever possible, master photographers and beginners alike, yet nonetheless keeping my style my own.
I hope to never stop learning from, experimenting with, understanding and experiencing all that photography has to offer. And I hope to share what I learn with the world.

We first met when I was young. You were older than me, but still immature in so many ways, and we were a good match. We matured together, and I like to think that I was there when you first blossomed....

The positive side to my mother's attack

Judging my photos

My classes are proceeding apace, and only two lectures remain. The instructor has a rather poor didactic style (he rambles on interminably) but he still manages to teach me a new thing from time to ti...
