Exploring Pheonix/Tempe/Arizona, running/hiking, rockclimbing, riding my bike instead of driving my car, not using plastic bags, drinking beer at Casey's, finishing this semester without losing my mind, trying to figure out if I can afford (financially and otherwise) to blow off the SAA's and go skiing at Whistler, planning my future (next summer - Belize! again!), figuring out what to plant in my "garden" and when to plant it. Avoiding myspace so I actually work on my dissertation proposal!
old friends . . . I'm all about new friends but do I really want to meet them on myspace?

What Does Your Birth Month Mean?
Patty Griffin, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Shakira, Mana, Indigo Girls, Alison Krauss, Postal Service, Outkast Ozomatli, Paul Simon, Bluegrass (Sam Bush, Yonder Mtn, King Wilkie, Bela, old school bluegrass), Juanes, Joseph Fonseca, Bob Dylan (of course), the Killers, Rolling Stones, The Waifs, Emmylou Harris, Neko Case, Calexico, Chris Thile, Regina Spektor, Dar Williams (as cool as I am i thought you'd know this already....).
Garden State, Out of Africa (my new favorite), Juno (my other new favorite).
The TV show I would most like to see is Cash Cab. Otherwise I am under-whelmed by TV right now.
The books I have read most recently are "The Archaeology of Materiality", "Indigenous Religions: A Companion" and "The Archaeology of Personhood". When I get to choose what I read I love Isabel Allende, cheesy archaeology novels, Michael Chabon (The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay!). Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Colin Turnbull. I couldn't name one book as my favorite ever.
