While growing up in Seattle, Wash. Jamie discovered his musical ability at a young age. When he was nine he began playing piano, and by 11 he was writing and singing original material. Not long after that Jamie found himself in music ministry, playing piano for the youth chapel worship in a Northwest christian school. By the time he turned 20, Jamie was playing/writing music on guitar. After high school and a brief stint in college, Jamie felt a greater call of God on his life. He dedicated himself to the work of a local church and became part of the worship team, singing harmonies and playing B3 organ. Eventually, Jamie began leading worship services and continued to do so until 2003. Also during that time, Jamie expanded his own personal music ministry. He played at Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, the Seattle Center, Washington State Christian Music Showcases (Worthy Music Ministries), many church coffee houses, and local music festivals. In 2000, he accomplished a personal goal and recorded a solo project with Jonathan David Brown. It was Brown who ultimately introduced Jamie to Farewell June in 2003, with whom he played keyboards and sang vocals for two years. During his time with FJ, he shared the stage with some of the best in music today, such as FFH, Charity Von, PETRA, Matthew West, Point of Grace, Newsboys, Jeremy Camp, Anthony Evans, Everlife, DecemberRadio and more. He also penned "Even There" found on Farewell June's first studio album 1939In early 2006 Jamie exited the band to spend more time with his family. Still writing, as well as offering his experience to developing other artists, Jamie stays involved in the music industry and hopes to bring forth a deeper ministry in the near future.
