I'm still learning about being a human and understanding our time here. I look for meaning in everything. On another level, I identify as a Boston Red Sox fan, a beach lover, a thinker. I like road trips, my house, working in the garden, reading, listening to NPR on the radio, cooking, spending time with my wonderful friends and my beautiful family! My family is most important.
Terry Gross, John Kerry, Trot Nixon, Che Guevara, Saint Francis and Saint Anthony, John McCain, a good golf instructor, an honest mechanic now that mine is in heaven, Diane Sawyer, Lisa Myers, Liane Hansen,
I enjoy almost any kind of music, although I dislike commercial radio. Neil Young, Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, any kind of jazz, even bluegrass and some country. Not too crazy about the Nashville stuff though. Jerry Jeff Walker, Waylon Jennings, Nanci Griffiths, those guys.
Motorcycle Diaries, Moonstruck, Benji movies, Disney movies, romances, no action movies, Coming Home, Shakespeare in Love, anything with Johnny Depp in it. I love to watch costume dramas, Jane Austen settings and Merchant-Ivory sorts of stories.
All sports, the Red Sox, the Patriots and even the Bruins and the Celtics, but they are painful to watch these days. I will even watch golf on TV, although I'd rather play golf than watch it. I dislike sitcoms, cop shows, and most "magazine shows" although 60 Minutes can be good sometimes.Otherwise, Sex and the City (HBO and syndicated) and The Sopranos are the only shows I watch regularly. HBO has the best series on television, it's a shame you have to pay so much for access. I liked TV when it was free, like radio. Except now there's pay radio. That's crazy.
I like any and all books! There is nothing better than reading to improve yourself, your attitudes, your vocabulary, your understanding of people and the world. READ!
My Mother and Dad, my sister Meg, my family for their strength and love for each other, Mike for what he did for Andy on February 5, 2006, all of Andy's friends for their love and care for us, everyone who stands up for the less fortunate and less powerful, you know who you are. Thanks.
