Vesperian Construct

About Me

Vesperian Construct began in 2002 with two tracks created by Adam Stamper and Joseph Hopkins. In the beginning the projects had very different intentions, but they quickly evolved a mind of their own (as music frequently does, or should) and soon Stamper and Hopkins dissolved previous intentions and began work on the first project to be under the title Vesperian Construct, "Subservient Bodies of Flesh." This project developed over the next two years and upon completion the Construct realized this sound, the being of frequencies created, was something completely free from anything either had experienced in sound (and both had experience with quite a variety, due to their interests). The sound was a hell storm of industrial noise and rhythm, frantic blast/glitch beats, abstract guitar constructions, ambient doldrums, and everything in between and outside of these. It was more than they had expected, an overload of layers and distorted signals created by means of intense editing of recorded and sampled sounds, complex drum and synth programing, and live performance of voice and keyboard. Then guitar and bass provided by Joel Osborne was prossesed and integrated. The next project was created in approx one year and became "Vagrant Irrational ism." This project was an attempt to slightly simplify and control the being that is Vesperian Construct. They wanted something still overly intense and distorted, but more quickly accessible to the human ear. In the end it was a success and the project became, like the former, a mind of it's own. With a cleaner more comprehendable appeal "Vagrant Irrational ism" had the ambiance of an organic alien form rotting in Hell. Then came "Sediment."The most recent project of the Construct came to be quicker than any prior creations. Although shorter, it was in all their most complete and refined project to date. Set in moods of dirt and sacrifice the ambient meanderings of "Sediment" are anything but sane. The listener is lead into the mind of a psychopath as a victim of his self ruin. The tracks are not intended as separate pieces, but instead are simply organs of the construct of "Sediment".Expect new sound later in 2006.
