A Tribute to Heroes CD to honor our troops and raise funds for Operation Helmet, Inc. June 25, 2006
Organized and produced by Army veteran and musician, Jimi Bell of North Carolina, A Tribute to Heroes is a CD focused on giving back to the troops. A Tribute to Heroes is comprised of songs donated to the project by unsigned and Indie label artists who wrote songs focused on our troops. In addition, all artists are donating all proceeds from this CD to Operation Helmet, Inc.
Included on the CD are songs by Arkansas National Guardsmen, Spc Nick Brown and Sgt JR Schultz, who recorded songs for their self-produced album, Iraq Unplugged, while they were deployed in Baghdad, Iraq. Also, the song When My Ship Comes In written and contributed by Senior Chief Musician Christopher Erbe, USN. The song is performed by the United States Navy band, Country Current.
The CD is available at www.myspace.com/tributetoheroescd with more Internet locations in the works. CD price will be $15 each or 2 for $25 (s&h included). 100% of profits will be donated to Operation Helmet, Inc, a 501 © 3 non-profit. The CDs have been donated to Operation Helmet by anonymous donors to help raise awareness and funds for the charity. A Tribute to Heroes is targeted for a mid-July.
