Being my husband's groupie, pretending to know how to sing, reading anything and everything (even the back of the shampoo bottle in the shower!), figuring out how to live a life of luxury on $3.00 a day, and being gernally magnanimous. VSPACE=1>
. . . I can't imagine the people in my future who are going to change my life. For now, the people I know are amazing and I cherish them all (ok, not ALL of them).
This list is soooo old, and it changes all the time! Basically, I like every band my husband and my friends are in, by default. Everything else is great, except mainstream pop and country pop.
If you haven't seen Boondock Saints, go get it RIGHT NOW. Funny, carnage, action -- it's got it all, even a bit of "awww, shucks", but that's over pretty quickly. B. Scott's gotten me into the Star Wars habit, but I didn't come along willingly. American Psycho, Fight Club, any good black comedy. Sinister is best!
As of February 2008, Breaking Bad is my new favorite show.[adult swim] is just about the only tv worth watching, unless you're talking educational tv like Food Network or the Discovery channel. If you ask me about network tv, I'm going to give you a blank stare.
Anything good. Got any to spare? I'm running low. Authors: Vonnegut -- all-time favorite. William S. Burroughs, Hunter S. Thompson, Bill Bryson, Douglas Coupland, Wally Lamb, so many more. 'Middlesex' - highly recommend it. Again, anything sinister.
Anyone who knows how to stand up for herself/himself and makes a difference by doing so. It doesn't matter if the action is small or large. All good moms everywhere (especially mine).
