The insane creation that is Ghettoschled was formed in 1998. Three friends that enjoyed hanging out, being stupid, and playing whatever we wanted to. Ghettoschled began to take shape with the creation of a 25 minute long epic known as Donkey Punch. From there we just decided to try anything and push the envelope as far as we could through creation, improvisation, experimentation, and intoxication. We spent most of our 3 and 1/2 years writing and playing shows. Ghettoschled had many different musicians work with us. The Mad Rabbi brought the hip hop flavor, DJ Infared and Scoop did the DJ thing for us at different times. Joey Barnes graced us with his vocals for a short period and we also played a lot of hip hop gigs with CAC Exclusives. The whole concept of the Ghettoschled is to play everything that inspires us from Metal, to jazz, to hiphop, to bohemian bluegrass. Throughout all that time that we played together, We never did put out an album. But the GhettoSchled is back and ready to put out an album that will kick your ass. All the members of Ghettoschled have fulltime gigs in other bands. James plays in The Five L's, Koozie, and Face First, Stacy plays in To The Nines, while Brian plays in MIB (Music Intelligence Bureau), and last but not least, Joey plays drums in Daughtry. So instead of playing live we will concentrate on recording an album. I have recently started digging up some old Ghettoschled archives that we recorded at practice in the infamous Downtown spot. I will constantly put up new songs and improvs that I find until we get the album done. Music is Life
