With their roots in the classic rock of the 60's and 70's, Shoot the Breeze represent a guitar based rock with focus on riffs and strong melodies. Unlike some other bands who's searching for a hype by "inventing" a new genre with each new song, the basis of Shoot the Breeze' music lies in the traditional rock, for then to ad exiting elements from other genres. The result is a varied and at times innovative rock, with an expression many will recognize from "the great ones" of early rock n roll.
Despite the fact that they have four releases behind them, it is mainly as a live band Shoot the Breeze is to be considered. They deliver every time, and they believe that the way to the top is thru hard word and many gigs. Their effort has given results, for example a gig at the club day of one of Norway’s biggest festivals, Øyafestivalen, and support gigs with great Norwegian bands like CC Cowboys and Hellbillies. Shoot the Breeze has also been played on English radio at several occasions, had one song on the Coca Cola pod cast, and a tune on an American music industry CD in June 2007.
Shoot the Breeze isn’t trying to be something they’re not. And they’re surely not trying to be something someone else is. With a straight up honest musical expression and a high speed liveshow, Shoot the Breeze represent something that will never be yesterdays news; pure Rock ‘n Roll!!
