About Me

I've been Djing around town as Dirty Basement with Hamish Louttit for the couple of years (maybe longer), Sometimes with live precussion (Volume and space permitting). We had a residecy at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut & played semi regularly at Basura Blanca, The Soundhaus, The Classic Grand, The Q Club, The Renfrew Ferry and various other pubs and venues. Also rocked the Silent Disco @ T in The Park 06 & Knockengorroch many a time
These days I've been running *Diversion* @ The Classic Grand, (Glasgow) on the 3rd Sat of the month along with Elliot Castro. Also been taking part in various nights with The Basement @ The Soundhaus & putting on the odd night with 2 Manky DJ's here & there.
I'm studying Audio Engineering @ SAE.
*CONTACT ME ON THE DIRTY BASEMENT MYSPACE AS I CHECK IT MORE OFTEN*

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: http://www.myspace.com/dirtybasementdjs
Band Members: Just me Christopher Williams (Chris_da_fluff), also who/whatever get cut up.
Influences: Im influnces by anything from soul, rock, electro to techno, but i have to say i never thought of trying my hand at my own remixes and production till i went to Optimo Especial at T in the Park (2002 i think it was) and saw Ableton Live being used. I didn't start work on anything till Dec 2004, by then i'd already had a heavy injection of techno and electroclash from seeing various guests at various gig's & clubnights.I came up with a 80 min cd for my friends named Plagiarism Kills, made with a combination of samples from hundreds of songs. Since Jan 2006 i have made a few of the tracks into single tracks so that i could dj out myself but i thought i'd add them to this site in an atempt to get some feedback.
Sounds Like: Bootlegs, some of it has been mistaken for artists like 2 many dj's, Optimo's Jd Twitch & Osymyso before, but to be honest it has a bit more techno influences.
