Liam O'Rourke has been producing electronic music since 1999 when he was 16 years of age. At first he was mainly interested in the sounds of Old skool UK Drum n Bass artists such as Bad Company, Ed solo and John B etc. however, as time moved on and as Drum n Bass seemed to loose its flair, Liam became increasingly taken by the relentless tribal rhythms of techno. He began making Regular short trips from his home town of Warwick in the Midlands, England to Birmingham to attend some of the best clubs in Britain (including the Legendary 'Que Club').In 2002 Liam moved to the City of Leeds in Yorkshire (northern England) where he met up with many likeminded producers such as Marvin Parks, Brian Sykes, Reuben Holmes and of course the infamous Rob DT. It was in Leeds Where Liam discorvered Dub music and Dub Reggae and was introduced to Britain's biggest Dub night: 'Subdub' which is hosted by the almighty Iration Steppas Sound System and which showcases some of the biggest names in modern Dub such as Zion Train and Abba Shanti.Leeds was also where Liam met Matty Paeglis and Martin McCormack who were (and are still) in the process of building Kaos Sound System. In the beginning they concentrated on free parties and illegal raves and were responsible for some of the most memorable parties the north of England has ever seen such as the 2004 techno rave in the old BBC recording studios in Leeds City Centre and the Hyde Park Halloween street party of 2005.Liam continued living in Leeds for the next couple of years, doing various live sound engineering jobs and playing the odd techno set at house parties and raves whilst generally being dole scum. And then in 2007 Liam applied to Oxford Brookes university where he now studies a BSC (hons) Degree in Sound Technology and Digital Music. It was in Oxford where Liam met Laurie Brown, an Oxford born and bread lad with an exceptional ear for production quality. The two now produce a unique style of Dub together (listen to 'Jah Pahroah' for an example).Since Living in Oxford Liam has also been reunited somewhat with Rob DT AKA Robin Watson whom he knew from Leeds and who is now studying a Degree in Music Informatics at Sussex University in Brighton, south England. Liam and Rob have now formed a techno outfit called 'Notwork Rail' and are currently working together on a few banging techno tracks.... Watch this space.Liam's main current focus however is on his solo work which seems to vary moderately from track to track but is constantly gaining in production quality. He is still an unsigned artist but hopes to be recognised for his efforts and telents in the not too distant future.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
