About time I started talking, I've been too long walkin, I crossed many roads and came back again, been so far I can't remember when or how it all got started, out on a journey towards where the heart is, but what you find is what you are, the way you see, where you're standing, how you came so far, who you met along the way, whether you're living a better day, did you get some guidance, did a stranger pass on any kindness, what did you learn, how did you feel, walking round in great circles, bound on the big wheel you thought was going straight, that you fear is your fate, you're running late, you're too mad to scream, you're life's stuck in a pipe dream, the way life has a way leading you on, with false promises and false dawns, when darkness is closing in and you've forgotten how to win, you just wanted to do good, but things get misunderstood, he's mad I heard it said, he's lost his mind the music's playing with his head, what does he want, why won't he concede, so how does he know and why should we believe, his faith is blind, he's way out of line, when no one is listening and nothing is glistening, just glazed vacant eyes, the last moan of a fighter when the fire dies, torn out burnt up, no more water from the cup, but a cinder still glows, the back don't break, how, nobody knows, you feel it in your bones, in a place where hope groans, this isn't just about you it's about them, the people who care and protect everything you are and everything you were, thick and thin, no matter how hard it gets, there'll never turn you in, because you've got the shining and they know it to be true, good things are going to happen to you, like the road that mends, the comeback kid here again, flying way up the track, pickin up speed, and you ain't turning back, the rhythm is now, the cup it is full, momentum is building and somehow you find the will, don't know how he did it, but he turned it around, I thought he was face down, but now he's ten feet above the ground, this is myspace, a new place, where everybody's searching in a digital race, we all got our reasons, we all got our motives, different perspectives, all here to be noticed, bright like a butterfly, soaring up high where the earth meets the red blood sky, it's up to me not down with them, blind fools who need affirmation, and worship the notion of celebrification, who praise good what is bad, and think life is a t-shirt or just some other fad, an existence led without purpose or calling, think you got it made, you're the theatre of the absurd, like some Beckett play, made to be boring, you're not waiting for god, you're not waiting at all, you're life is a blip, you're a fish in a bowl, transparent then forgotten then remembered in vain, a life without focus nor beginning nor end, you got to look outside yourself and back in again, lift people up not put people down, a flash of light, give them confidence found, not play on their doubts and step on their fears, while you build yourself up and neglect what you hear, what matters most, burnt toast or the ones you love the most, I've seen death up close, when there's no more time left, just the pain of our happiness, the passing moments that I tried to stop pass, couldn't hold em they moved by too fast, I've got a voice that much is true, but it's not what you hear its the message coming through, recorded and preserved, what does it mean to be heard, it's what you have to say that counts, a lesson once learned, but since gone underground, the enemy of the best is not the worst, but the good enough, so give until it hurts and don't take the shortcut, theres no quick fix, put the work in and then everything fits, everything flows and we reap the good that we sow, always keep climbing, there's no place to hide in, I say this with care, I just want you to know, I mean what I say, so never let go, illuminate the dark, and light up the earth, this kids got talent, I give you my word....
