Success "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded" - Ralph Waldo Emerson

My Interests

Music:

NOW PLAYING - (for some reason I love this song!) :)I love music....all kinds....R&B, soul, blues, jazz, country, hip hop, reggae, merengue, salsa, soca, rock, bachata..... I love it all My choice of music at any given time just depends on my mood and i am moody so it changes often. :) When I wanna be happy, I listen to music that makes me that way. When I wanna lay around feeling sorry for myself, I listen to music that lends itself to that mood :) I am amazed by how much music can affect me. Some artists I really like: Etta James, Maxwell, Ludacris, Beres Hammond, Nina Simone, Christina Aguilera, LeAnn Rimes, Sean Paul, Sara Evans, Kenny Chesney, Gladys Knight, Nickelback, Prince, Alicia Keys, Blues Travelers, Days of the New, Korn, Monchi y Alexandra, Justin, Joe, Shakira, Tim Mcgraw, 2Pac, Ginuwine, Keith Sweat, Reba, Garth Brooks, Billy Currington, India Arie, The Eagles, Troop, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Nora Jones, Disturbed, John Legend, Dierks Bentley.....it goes on and on and on and on... :)

Television:

Don't watch TV - Oh I have to change this....I got seasons 1 and 2 of Lost for Christmas...It is January 19 and I am almost finished watching them!! I am so freaking addicted! This is the ONLY show I watch though.

Books:

I am almost always in the middle of a book. I have enjoyed reading since I was a kid. I like fun, mindless stuff and real literature and everything in between. I love love love Eric Jerome Dickey(I know, I'm a white girl, but I can't get enough of him!! He feeds my addiction), Anne Rice is amazing, she can totally make me believe in things I don't really believe in..Those vampire books WOW!!! Some of the best stuff I've ever read, especially "The Vampire Lestat" Goodness Gracious that woman can write. :)...Hemingway, Jennifer Weiner, Steinbeck.....I read The Da Vinci code not too long ago. I loved it! I didn't think he was such a great author as far as getting me into the characters, but it was what that book made me think about and how it made me see some things differently that I liked. Ya'll should check out "Love Doesn't Live Here", by a friend of mine, Cassandra Washington...you can order it through amazon.com or her site www.cassandrawashington.com Right now I'm reading "The Glass Castle" It is a great book! Hopefully, it won't be too long before I'm adding my own books to this list...

Heroes:

My dad! He is the greatest man I've met. I look up to him more than anybody else. My sister - I've never met a more selfless person. My mom - for all of the sacrifices she made to make my sister and I happy as children, My Memaw - for being such a wonderful example of a strong woman. I have lots of people that I look up to and respect and most of them are in my family. :)
