About Me

Let's see...about me...I sing gospel music with a man named Kirk Franklin. I have been traveling with him all over the world for over nine years. I love what I do. I love the people that I do it with. I love the Lord with all of my heart! I love my family and friends! And I want to live my life for the only One that matters...I hope to make Him proud of me! Other than that I'm pretty simple...don't get bored easy...very laid back (got that from my daddy)...very creative (got that from my mom...along with the eyes). I have 2 brothers, Heith and Brennan. 2 sisters, Breanne and Jessica (sis-in-law).

My Interests

Music, Fashion, Cullinary Arts, anything MINT, flowers, wedding planning, when my room is clean, cards, reading in the morning on the patio, camping, going to the lake, looking at the stars, Martha Stewart, my iPhone, dinner with friends, studio, stage, the way I feel after working out, SHOES!, Fendi spybags, walks, really comfy blankets, sales, the craftstore, laughing until tears roll down my cheeks (usually my sister is the only one that can make that happen), photobooth pictures, sweet tea, picnics, Avocados, going to the movies, being in love, US weekly, storms, being with my family, giving gifts, getting gifts, pulling out all of my Christmas decorations and decorating the house with them, new babies, holding them in the nursery at church, antique shopping, going to Canton with Mom and Jessica, playing Guitar Hero with Brennan, watching my Daddy fall asleep in his chair in the middle of the day, seeing him get excited about his trail rides, fresh manicures and pedicures, new perfume (even though I have no idea what it smells like because I can't smell), laughing at Nay when she does something funny (which is always), watching Heith lead worship, traveling, tours, buses (especially my bunk), I'm a big fan of games, looking out the window of my parents house and seeing my sweet little grandaddy walking on the treadmill in his living room, watching babies come into the world, taking pictures, organizing my closet, getting a call from my boss to see how I'm doing, watching Nikki play the piano and singing from somewhere deep within herself, I notice peoples hands, I'm a touch OCD, being around people who make me better, people who make me feel like I can be myself even if I say or do something stupid, scrapbooking (although I never do it I love the idea of it. even have all the stuff to do my own but it stresses me out!), doing things on my own and being proud of myself for doing them...

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet my future husband...soon, hopefully!!! ha. gertrude franklin...in heaven. I've met a lot of people...don't get star struck easily but when I saw Celine Dion I almost died! When I met Whitney Houston I couldn't talk...partly because she looked a mess...but mainly because I used to sing her stuff and thought I was her!View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

Music:

I love music...almost any music. It really depends on what kind of mood I'm in or what I'm doing as to what music I would play. Music is a moment by moment thing. I hear music in my head all the time. I have a hard time sleeping at night for that very reason.

Movies:

The Notebook, The Other Sister, Superstar, Just Friends, Sweet Home Alabama, Proof, Oceans 11,12,13, Premonition, Blood Diamond, Stomp the Yard, Marie Antoinette...just a few. Love going to the movies...one of my favorite things to do.

Television:

Top Chef, Project Runway, CSI, Reba, Martha Stewart, Forensic Files, Will and Grace, ANTM, Brothers and Sisters, Grey's Anatomy, Make Me A Supermodel, Divine Design, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Intervention

Books:

The thing about me and books is that I have about a thousand of them but I'll buy them because I like the way they look and then I won't read them...or I'll start the book and not ever finish it. Then there are some books that I will read for two days straight because I am so into it that I can't put it down. I love books...especially the ones with really good paper in them...you know the thick kind that's got a matte finish?!? I like to go to Barnes and Noble and just sit in the aisle...or grab as many books and magazines as I can carry and then search for a big comfy chair to spend hours in. I love how I associate books with coffee and now anytime I read I make a pot. And almost everytime I go to Barnes and Noble I "need" a coffee! Some of my favorite authors are Beth Moore, Stormie Omartian, Dr. Tony Evans, Brennan Manning, Frank Peretti, Max Lucado... Some of my favorite books are the Bible, Captivating, Wild at Heart, Redeeming Love (amazing!!!), . I mainly read books by Christians because I can trust what is written...they usually have a lot of meat to them...at least the ones I have read so far. I love books about photography, fashion, wedding planning, flowers, sewing, antiques... anything creative. The last book I bought was Beowulf...I bought it because I read it in high school and saw that a movie had been made of the story and I wanted to go into the movie having the story fresh on my mind. I love old books at antique stores...and old readers digest...they're good for ripping the pages out to use in art projects! and I am addicted to buying journals (I have about a thousand of them as well)...most of them have a few pages written on and then blank the rest of the way through. I have no intention of writing in them again...I get bored with them quick. The only one I've ever written all the way thru was the one my friend Heather gave me...I don't know why that is.

Heroes:

Jesus, Ruth Guilbert, Breanne and Garrison Guilbert"We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. ALL of us. And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people the permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear our presence automatically liberates others." - Nelson Mandella '94"Give me my Romeo; and when he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night, and pay no worship to the garish sun." - Claire Danes in Romeo and Juliet
