***PUSHING EARTH: Damon Moreno - Drums; Mike Stayner - Samples, Media, Keys; Tim Siriani - Vocals; Brent Wiltfong - Bass; Thor Moreno - Guitar*** Pushing Earth was a collaboration of accomplished musicians all in their mid to late 20s. The bands individual members drew influence from many varying styles and moods of music, making the final result which was Pushing Earth "nothing short of motorized power". Hailing from San Francisco, California, the band gigged continually over a 2 year span and ran away with the 1st place trophy in radio KMUDs annual Battle of the Rock Bands in 2002, earning them a sizeable prize package including studio time with Grammy nominated rock producer Mike Kapiton. With ocean side inspiration and the guidance of the renowned producer, Pushing Earth nailed down their 5 song EP. They have since pressed over 20,000 promo copies that have been distributed all over both coasts and everywhere in between. In August of 2003, Pushing Earth relocated to Des Moines, Iowa. Pushing Earth stayed busy after. They were added to several radio stations playlists thru-out the midwest and west coast. They took 1st place in Lazer 103.3's "Battle of the Bands" Compitition in April 2004, beating out 45 other bands. They recorded a song for the Des Moines semi-pro hockey team, the Des Moines Buccaneers. Also, in June 2004, Pushing Earth took place in the Ozzfest tour auditions. After making it thru several round's, they ultimately were not chosen. Soon after however, They were approached by Stillborn Records about the idea of signing a deal. After much debate, The band declined the offer.In August, 2004, the band called it quits to persue other projects.
