The Glow-Worm Theory
It has come to my attention as to how feeble everything is. A life of foolhardy possessions and trinkets, friends who present their backs to me as soon as trouble arises, and life in its very self, is feeble. Everything is feeble.
Which brings me to this point:
Let me live life. I am reminded of a quote that has stuck with me since elementary school, "In life, we are all worms. I choose to be a glow-worm."
Winston Churchill spoke that. Fabulous, isn't it? Glow-worm or not, it still presents my feelings in a single thought. He doesn't state that "I am" a glow-worm or "I will be" a glow-worm, he simply says he chooses to be one. Me, this person, chooses to be, and remain, the most glowing glow-worm out there.
Yes, indeed.
Which brings me back to my point. Let me live life. Yes, I say it, I scream it, I think it, I long for it. However, as of now, I'm so confused as to where, what, and when my life is. I cannot begin to do anything if I continue on this path. Apparently, I'm not glowing yet.
Bugger.
How does one go about glowing anyway? When and where do thoughts begin and end? And how, of all things, do I begin to live!? The literal explantion, obviously, is at birth. But I'm not speaking in literal terms, am I? Is it philosphically, metaphorically, imagination?!!
These thoughts trouble my ever-filling mind. My eyes grow weary with the weight of thinking. I believe that I will discontinue the use of thought and just begin doing. Therefore, by doing, I will live. And with living, comes glowing.
Yes, I see it now. Look closely. There it is, a new-born glow-worm.
