The Welding Princess

Hey, at least you can hunt. They took away my license when I was born.

About Me

i'm kaylee
when life gives you lemons,
ask for a refund
[E'rrbody luh me, I'm so fly]
For now... my home is Tongue Point Job Corps Center.
It's not a place for "Troubled Kids," I chose to go there. And I've actually met some pretty amazing people.
I am enrolled in the Welding program.
I'm the only girl in shop.
I get a lot of crap for it, but it's pretty fun.
They're all pretty cool guys.
As much as I complain about the place (admit it, we ALL do it...), it brought me love like I've never experienced.

Who I am to you really depends on how you see things.
But to me, I am full of energy and love for the world. I find beauty in everything and everyone.
But I do have a pessimistic side to me.
I'm sure we all do... right?
I don't do much thinking, but I feel enough to make up for all the thinking I miss out on.
I'm always having a fun time.
As complicated as life can be sometimes, I still try and keep my focus on God, because He seems to be the only thing I've been able to continually rely on through all the crap.
Taking the time to get to know me COULD be the best decision you ever make. You never know, right?
"People break down into two groups when they experience something lucky. Group number one sees it as more than luck, more than coincidence. They see it as a sign... evidence that there is someone up there watching out for them. Group number two sees it as just pure luck, a happy turn of chance. I'm sure the people in group number two are looking at those lights in a very suspicious way. For them, the situation is a 50/50- Could be bad, could be good. But deep down, they feel that whatever happens, they're on their own. And that fills them with fear. Yeah, there are those people. But there's a whole lot of people in the group number one. When they see those lights, they're looking at a miracle. And deep down, they feel that whatever's going to happen there'll be someone there to help them. And that fills them with hope. See, what you have to ask yourself is, what kind of person are you? Are you the kind who sees signs, sees miracles? Or do you believe that people just get lucky? Or look at the question this way... is it possible that there are no coincidences?"

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My litte brother Dakota.
Anyone who can keep a beat...
with their mouth, hands or feet...

Music:

convince you that music is their life,
that music is everything... as if they have
nothing else to latch to. Music is impact,
not the breath of existence. I also think
it's silly when people look down on you for
the music you listen to as if it makes you
a bad person or "less cool" or something.
It really shouldn't make a difference to
someone who's NOT shallow and actually
cares about something of worth.
I used to list my music here. But if I do that, you're just going to categorize me in some area I really don't belong in. So I'll refrain. I like many, many types of music. But music doesn't DEFINE me.

Movies:

I'm not too big on tv, so I tend to watch a
lot of movies, and my Favorites list just
keeps growing. I enjoy a lot of comedies,
as well as many intellectual films, if done
right. I'm big on independent films
but really good ones are
hard to come by these days. Anything will
do. Not too hot on sci-fi, but I have seen
a couple I can settle on. But these are
my favorites at the moment.
Running Scared
The Pick of Destiny
The Fountain
Thank You For Smoking
Little Miss Sunshine
House of D
I A Beautiful Mind
Matchstick Men
The Shawshank Redemption
Lucky Number Slevin
Girl, Interrupted
American History X
The Life of David Gale
Corky Romano
Forrest Gump
Toy Story
Finding Nemo
Paper Clips
Born Into Brothels
The Grinch
Elf
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Christmas With The Kranks
The Longest Yard
A Night at the Roxbury
Josie and the Pussycats
The Skeleton Key
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
The Notebook
Pride and Prejudice
Requiem for a Dream

Television:

I find television to be rather silly and time-consuming. I don't find myself
watching a lot of it. If I am, it's usually
Nick@Nite. Can't go wrong with
the classic sitcoms. I LOVE Animal Planet,
though. And who doesn't enjoy a little bit of Adult Swim, eh?? I do however, enjoy a
lot of cartoons such as The Fairly
Oddparents, Jimmy Neutron, OLD
Rugrats, and Ed, Edd N' Eddy. I'm gonna
branch out here and say that I DO enjoy
Grey's Anatomy and CSI. And I
guess I'll own up to LOVING Firefly. But
that's not really considered
"tv" anymore... hmm...

Books:

I've always loved to read, but have hardly
found myself making the time for it
anymore. But if anything, I highly
recommend these books: A Density of
Souls, The Lovely Bones, Suzanne's
Diary for Nicholas, The Perks of Being A
Wallflower, Against Gravity, and The Innocent.

Heroes:

Robert Last
Sarita Kempenich

Ariel

Squirt

Boo

Shake

Gary

Rex

Princess Dot

Cosmo

Scrat

Rolly

Chuckie
