Hey, hey, hey. Don't be cruel.

About Me

I've been involved with the Internet since 1980, which makes me an incredible old timer but somehow the time has just flown. I've contributed to BSD Unix 4.4, served as part of the "backbone cabal" if you go back that far, worked at HP Labs as a Research Scientist, founded and grew four startups and have published twenty books in the last decade or so, notably including:
Growing Your Business with Google Wicked Cool Shell Scripts Teach Yourself Unix in 24 Hours Creating Cool Web Sites with HTML, XHTML and CSS

Having said that, my real interest is in marketing communications and how companies convey their message to their marketplace. In that vein, you might well have read my popular Intuitive Life Business Blog , cited in the Wall Street Journal, CNN.com, MSNBC.com, Christian Science Monitor, and many more places.
Of course, more likely is that you've bumped into my incredibly popular Q&A weblog Ask Dave Taylor , wherein I talk about tech support issues, including psp help , mac support , cell phone help and a lot more. Really, there's little that I won't try to tackle, even how to buy a house, how to write a resume or how to become a better public speaker.
As a blogger, I recognize that there's a bit of a contagion about blogging, so I have yet another weblog that I manage too, the Attachment Parenting Blog . I admit, attachment parenting isn't for everyone, but I promise it'll be an interesting and, perhaps, slightly controversial site to read.
Please note that I do not read my email here on MySpace because their system is just too painful to use. If you really want to reach me, your best bet is to pop over to my tech support site and click on the subtle little "Ask a Question" button, if you can find it. :-)I also have tons of MySpace help on my site!!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'm always interested in meeting entrepreneurs who have smart business ideas and are seeking help in figuring out how to transform their idea into a viable business. I've been helping companies do that for years, and perhaps I can help you too.
And, of course, if you're a blogger, drop me a note, it's always fun to compare notes!

Why on earth is Microsoft buying Yahoo for $44 billion?
