About Me

I like to think of myself as a relatively amusing individual, and I would invite you think likewise. So just do it, ok? Thanks.
Now that we have that established I would like to comment on the fact that I am recently married. I know how much single people hate hearing newlyweds brag about how wonderful their life has just become...but I don't think I can adequately tell you about myself without including her...so I am going to do it regardless. I am married to a beautiful girl who I adore and am utterly in love. Her name is Amber and she's pretty much the best thing about me. Our life is wonderful! Seriously. I could on about that but I would hate to make people puke on their monitors...so I will desist...as soon as I put a picture of her.
So that's that. Other things about me include the fact that I am 6'3" which is considered tall by most standards. Dark. Arguably handsome.I am not a super athlete. I do like to play basketball. I also like to play ultimate frisbee and other frisbee related activities. I like water balloons and water fights.
I don't like doing grown up things like paying bills, and taking care of a yard. I do however like making grown up-esque amounts of money as opposed to just-over-minimum-wage amounts of money.
I am Mormon through and through. I have only one wife. I am not planning on getting others. (That was a joke) [INSERT PITY LAUGHS HERE]
I like lemonade, flavored lemonades, pizza, Taco Bell, myspace, making funny photoshop projects, Red Robin hamburgers, my family, ice cream (especially with toppings o' plenty). I enjoy writing blogs from time to time but haven't really felt inclined to do much with that lately. I enjoy writing, and am somewhat of a word-dork. I enjoy me a good crossword puzzle. Amber recently taught me how to do Soduko puzzles. Addictive.
I suck at cars. I can't fix them.
I like reading but haven't had much time to do that lately. My proudest reading-related accomplishment is that I have read Charles Dickens' David Copperfield in it's entirety. That was a long book. You should attempt to read it so that you can more fully appreciate my pride in such a seemingly insignificant feat. Or not.
I like movies. Particularly the kind that make you think and wonder and try to figure things out the entire time. Like most guys I can't stomach the hard-core chick flicks, however most of the "romantic comedies" I can handle. I am not much of a movie critic. Things I like often suck, and things I hate often do pretty well. In any case, I like movies...except for Spice World that movie blows and should have never been written, produced, filmed or sold. I think audiences around the world can agree with that review, unless they are female and under the age of puberty. In which case, their opinion doesn't count anyway.
I live fairly close to a smelly dogfood factory. When the wind blows just right I can smell it. Not my favorite thing in the world, but it's a fair trade in for the closet of a dorm room I left behind. Mmmmmmmmm dog food.
Ok, well I think I have typed a sufficient amount to demonstrate to you just how interesting, and mildly amusing I can be. Or not. In either case, this is the end.
Or is it?
This is a picture from 1954 with a caption that someone at work sent to me. I think this is absolutely crazy.

Photorefractive Keratectomy and me.

For those who may not know (and likely don't care), I recently had corrective surgery on my eyes. I chose a procedure similar to LASIK...but different. It's called Photorefractive Keratectomy, or to d...

To all interested parties.

Ok. I will admit that I have been derelict in my blogging efforts. Perhaps I too easily succumb to indolence. Perhaps I am uninspired, or unmotivated. Or quite possibly it's because I have found someb...
