LouLou Ooldouz Ghelichkhani was born in San Jose California. She was raised in Paris, France till her teenage years then moved to Bethesda, Maryland. The culture shock was incredible...it took her a few years to discover the District of Columbia and all its wonders. In 1999, LouLou met Eric and Rob of Thievery Corporation through mutual friends SEE-I.. She soon was abducted by the duo on fantastic voyage : Thievery Corporation. Since then she has recorded and performed with the Thieves around the globe. In the past few years, LouLou has been in search of a new way to express herself...and finds that improvising with live musicians is a very powerful way to break sound barriers. Therefore, all the songs on this page are studies and such of these experiments.
Sharpsword (being the translation of her last name) is a collective of local rochester/DC musicians who have collaborated and jammed with LouLou and her melodies.
Recently, LouLou has been working with DC band THE Apes and Punani Sound System" we always try to stay true to ourselves and open all channels during a jam. Being able to have unconditional love is what we all try to achieve? no?"make sure to check out
