I love all kinds of music so it's always been difficult deciding what genre I should play in. I decided to basically play everything I love. My style involves jazz, funk, r&b, hip hop, reggae, techno, rock and world music. My goal with my music is to open up people's imaginations and connect with them. I want to show people that they are free if they want to be and need to find this freedom inside themselves soon. World peace is attainable and I want to encourage people to see and feel similar to how I feel and what I see. Throw out the material possessions cuz none of it is real.I was born in Mesa, AZ and lived in AZ most of my life. I started playing music at an early age. Phil Collins was my original inspiration to learn to play music. I loved the way he played the drums. So I studied percussion in school for 5 years. When Clint Eastwood's "Bird" came out I heard something amazing. It was the freedom of the music and personal expression. It was also the way Max Roach played the drums. It was new and exciting to me. That's when my main goal in life was to be a jazz drummer. Well when I turned fifteen I decided to pick up the guitar. I knew how to read music at this point so it wasn't too difficult to approach. I studied with a few great teachers. I studied jazz, classical, and rock music. Miles Davis and Prince became my best teachers of all at that time. And I still credit them today for that. They taught me about space and being tight while being loose. they taught me about exploration and how to attain my own sound.Now I play all my instuments, guitar, bass, keys, sax, and drums. I love music it's sacred to me and I want to share it with you.
