JamieB - supporting VersusCancer.org in 2008...

I am here for Networking

About Me

Whilst still supporting the TCT, I'd like my main fundraiser to be for VersusCancer, a Manchester charity supporting local projects. I'd like VersusCancer to benefit from the funds generated from sponsorship at this year's BUPA Great Manchester run (18 May 2008)...I'm trying to get in early and get people thinking about VersusCancer ASAP, not just the gig but what they do all year round. I have my tickets for the gig in February and hope they get Rachel Kichenside doing her songs and maybe doing a duet with someone really famous so the world finally recognises that she is a star....I want to keep it local this year and raise as much to get rid of the "Cancer City" tag that this city has. I'll be doing loads of stuff this year and trying to crack through the £500 mark. I'll be doing the Wilmslow half, City of Manchester 10km and the Sale Sizzlers plus others. I also want to do some stuff for my Dad as a tribute to his fight at the Robin Hood in Nottingham this year for the Alzheimer's Society...I will be running as a Manchester Frontrunner too in 2008!I'll be setting up a fundraising site at Justgiving as usual and there will be the usual funny profile picture...If you want to know more about VersusCancer, please visit http://versuscancer.org - sign up, show your support and give if you can. Get a number - I'm 1337 - and get on the line up!!!Sorry there were loads of "I's" in there because you are part of the team (if you look closely at team, you can see ME!)... Cheers and see you throughout 2008...
